Callum Simpson of England and Italy’s Ivan Zucco each weighed in three pounds under the super-middleweight limit for the fight on Saturday evening for the vacant European title.
Simpson, 28, and the 29-year-old Zucco are to fight at Oakwell Football Ground, the stadium of Simpson’s hometown soccer team, Barnsley FC.
In the chief support Mark Jeffers, also of England, fights Sean Hemphill. Jeffers is targeting complementing a win for Simpson with victory over Hemphill in the hope of being matched as the popular Simpson’s next opponent
